Trekking with Hubby at Sungei Buloh Wetlands

I woke up at 6.30am to the chirping of the birds outside my bedroom window.... Literally. (Annoying birds). Prepared fried rice (The Nasi Goreng Daging Belachan Chilli Padi i was talking about, Nadssy =)) and sandwiches for our outing while Hon was still sleeping. Left the house around 9am and off we went to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves. It was very quiet and peaceful once we reached, except for the occasional tourists scattered here and there. Nature at its best. We know that if we stayed at one spot for more than 5 minutes, we are bound to see something moving, something interesting or capture the flora and fauna surrounding us. However, patience isn't in our dictionary. We followed every single trail, all 3 trail routes, walking for about 3 hours. On stoned path, wooden path and grass we trot.

On the path less travelled. Peace and Nature.

Among the mangrove, spot the mudskipper.

Mosquitoes attacked Hon's legs.

The process of the life cycle of the jackfruit.

Red Ants and Us.

Ants carrying a green butterfly back to their nest.

The Komodo and the tree crabs.

Spot the spider, spot the flying squirrel.

I realised dragonflies looked like aliens up close. Basking in the sun.

We reached here, the end of Route 3.

Spot the bird, spot the butterfly.

Komodo and Crab.

Swamp Things.... Huge prawn

We bought a whole bottle of chilli sauce. Haha! At home finish already. So that's the end.

Took a 2-hour bus ride home..... Continued sleeping for 2 more hours. What a morning!
