Me and Lil Junior

Well I realised that I have not uploaded any photos of myself nor my baby bump ever since i got pregnant. Maybe I have not gotten used to the feeling yet. Oh c'mon! It's midway through my pregnancy already!! 5 months and counting! So fast right! As this is my first pregnancy, I do get a little bit nervous when people stare at my tummy, especially when I am walking (more like waddling) around the polytechnic (my workplace) or standing on the train/bus. The difference is that now, I get a seat on the train!! Thanks to the considerate commuters who gave up their seat to me in the split of a second. Mostly gentlemen, though. Nyonyas can't be bothered. Most school/poly children can go and screw their snobbish faces. A few working-class aunties are really nice too. Sitting down feels good....

My nausea and vomiting is gone. It's really true what people say. First trimester morning sickness will come and go in a flash. I won't miss it though. It really don't feel good with bile stuck in your stomach and throat every morning, noon and night. I currently have superbad backaches and the bump is still small! Can't imagine if it's at 8 months and I still need to bend down/squat down and talk to my tiny little children in class. Apart from work which is taking a toll on me, I feel darn good being preggers!!! Hubby is always entertaining me and the baby with his hilarious wit and jokes. I love him more everyday. Hope we will get through this phase in life strongly together. The pics below do not show my tummy so vastly prominent (yet). Well, I have no idea what to expect in the next few months. Do pray for our wellbeing. Thank you.

Me at 16 weeks and me at 18 weeks.

50,000 bloghits as of today - Thank you. Finally a long update.

50,000 may not be many, as compared to other famous blogs, but it is indeed an achievement for us. Wow! It seems like eons since I last updated this blog. Our sincere apologies for leaving traces of dust and cobwebs around here. I am not going to give the reason that we are busy coz, that's just wrong. It's all about priorities. Ok, enough about the jibby-jabber. Let's start. But where and how do I start now? Hmm...

OK, well-being and pregnancy first. I am fine. The first trimester has come and gone like lightning speed! My tummy is growing and I still cannot believe the fact that I carry a living being inside me. It feels totally magnificent yet funny at times that I can just laugh at myself and feel amazed at how a fusion of sperm and egg can create a living thing. Nausea and vomitting - like an everyday thing, especially after bus, taxi and mrt rides. Oh gosh, the shaking and the breaking and the speeding. Made my head go into a spin and I am sure baby inside me feels like riding a Battlestar Galactica. Craving-wise, my really caring hubby never fails to get me what I want to eat. From the list of cravings that I have, these are the surprising ones:- durians (ate 10 at one go that time) , solero ice-cream, cheese sticks, Long John Silver, Aunty Nel's Macaroni Pedas and the list goes on. Hubby has been absolutely supportive of me. =) But now, it's the World Cup Season...... and, boys will be boys. =^

Sneak peek of SheZai Junior

OOooo we have changed the poster to our room too. I went into a poster buying frenzy and bought 2 original posters - 1 US double-sided teaser and 1 original double-sided poster.
The 3rd Kill Bill poster to add to my growing collection. =)
But we're not putting this up due to its value. So, on a lighter note, guess which movie poster is on our bedroom wall now?

Bought this teaser just because it looks cute with all the characters inside! Of course the Original Toy Story 1 fetches a much higher price but i decided to forego that.

Princess day on my birthday!! Shopping Spree sponsored by the loving husband. Clothes, clothes and more clothes!! I have overturned my wardrobe big time and threw out 2 humongous recycle bag of unwanted clothes. Our theory is simple. NO WAY am i gonna waste money on maternity wear. Might as well get dresses (short, boho, long, sundress, etc) which can be worn during and after pregnancy~! Chic and practical.

Hubby also got me this watch! =) I have not been wearing a watch or keeping track of the time for a whole lotta months already. Thus this is a perfect watch for a Hot Date or a night out. =) Thank you dearest Hubby, you pamper me so well!

My aunt just got back from LA and she got us these for baby! Nike Air Max! Black white pink! Like father like child. hehe!

Another great news! SheZai has moved on to the next NEXT stage! It all aligns perfectly, the timing. After the news of the baby coming, we landed ourselves a BTO flat to call our own! Ready in 4+ years, i feel it is just nice. Not gonna say first where. But we are DAMN HAPPY with our new house. =) Long-run convenience is key. =D

Another another GREAT news!!! Let's just say that Hubby is well on his way to a great career track. And i am SUPER PROUD of him. He is also coping well. =D

SheZai is gonna celebrate our 111 th monthversary this month... and yes, we still count by the months ever since 25/03/2001, the day we got together. =)

Everything is in its perfect place. Alhamdulillah.

PHASE 4.

 The Story of My Pregnancy

If you were to notice the description on the right hand sidebar of this blog, it states:-
"We have been blogging since 2003. From the time we were a naive couple to the time we got married and awaiting the time to start a family."
This blog has now entered Phase 4. Phase 1 was when I was still dating Zaini way back then in 2001. Phase 2 came when we got engaged in 2005. Phase 3 came when we got married in 2007. And now, in 2010, Phase 4........ starting a family. It sounds like a BTO (built-to-order) project ey. We build our relationship strong enough and then order a baby...... LOL! ok ok, kidding.

It all happened when I got curious even before my p was due. I bought the pharmacy pregnancy test and it came out negative. What to do.... i was kanchiong. I leave it to fate. Didn't give it much thought. Can always try again. Then i got a high fever one day... stayed home to sweat it out and went to Sentosa Resorts World at night to chill as per post below. My close friend Aisyah said it might be the hormones.... Well, to think of it... I did vomit once. I thought it was something I ate. Decided to pass it off as a normal fever.

Then a week later, my p didn't come when it was supposed to, so I was curious. Normally I will wait one day or two days, but my hands itchy sangat.... so I go and buy the pregnancy test again... I was in the toilet.. and the feeling was overwhelming when I saw the result came out positive. :'D I nearly screamed. Am I really!??!?! I read and re-read the instructions like I don't understand the gunk of English gibberish written there.

A lot of things ran through my mind. When should I tell hubby? When should I tell mom and mil? Should I go to the Doctor to confirm it? What am I supposed to do now? Like a dazed and confused pre-teen, I tried to grasp the fact. But I still can't. So I decided to go the Doctor immediately in a state of excitement. When the doctor confirmed it and gave me Folic Acid pills to down every morning, I was even more overwhelmed! OK.... so does that confirm it? I tried to keep my cool the whole evening and waited 3 hours for Hubby to come home. My heart was beating ridiculously fast!! I wanted Hubby to be the first one to know. I tried to mislead him by saying I have p-cramps on Twitter and all.. hahaha!

And then he came home. He was sharing with me about work, and he got a free pair of Nike shoes and he got a free Nike Cardholder.... and he told me how fated it was because someone stole his Nike Slippers that morning and he lost his EZlink card a few days back. So he said... "Wah it's so fated eh I get these free."

And then suddenly, he showed me a small Nike Box....

and he said," Hun Hun, guess what.. I buy this one when we have a baby in the future. I like the shoes ah.. so nice."

I was stunned!!! And no, he still does NOT know yet. I gave him a very very very weird Sheikha look.

And I very slowly said....." Hon, you know what..... you are going to be a father."
He exclaimed in delight and excitement," What?!?! Really!??!?!?! WOW!! Eh! It's fated!! I just bought the kid shoe today then you tell me you are pregnant?! Yeayyyyyyyyy!!!!" It was the happiest moment of our lives... I have NEVER seen him laugh and smile soooo happily before. The next few minutes were classic... hahahah! A moment of "Eh-nak-bilang-skarang-ke-tanak-eh". And the rest of the moment just went with the flow. I really want to convince myself to the core, so I tried the pregnancy test again, and again, it showed positive. I showed Hon. Confirm Liao!

The next day, I bought another pregnancy test kit (the ones where you can keep) to keep a memory of that very day. Just like how you keep all the memorabilia in a shoebox.... Maybe I'll start making a scrapbook of SheZai Junior. =)  An exciting journey awaits!

Syukur Alhamdulillah. I have just finished my Diploma, talk about the perfect timing. hehe!
