I've been away from the blog for the longest time ever I think? It's just that I'm actively addicted to Facebook updating status & "commenting" on my friends pics/status. Even though Hun's suggested Tweet to me, I seriously feel no thrill Tweeting. Perhaps there's not many of my friends on it yet or maybe I haven't "follow" them yet. As for now, Facebooking is still the best, be it from Iphone or my Mac.

Work & school has been a real "torture" in my life now. Unlike my last term, this time I can't afford to take leave to prepare for my projects/tests/final assessments due to the busy May-June hectic schedule I had at work. Some of my colleagues left the company which mean in this economic downturn, instead of re-hiring, we'll have to share the workloads. Very tough but this is life. I'll just take every challenge given as a test of my patience. Of course I won't be going gungho for it but I'll just take one things at a time.

Aside from all the busy schedule that I face, I still set aside time for some of the important events that just happened recently.

Other than both couple, I'd like to congratulate both Fandy & Sheikh together with their beaus too. Best wishes ahead too guys! Weddings aside, Hun & me also managed to escape from all the hectic schedule to have a good time together with Latyfah & Keidi at Butterfactory last couple of week. Thanks To Latyfah, we got to see one half of Mobb Deep & Big Noyd there. We had a good catch-up after the party by having "supper" at a food joint somewhere near Zouk at 4am.

Once I come up with a song i let you know. Like real. haha! Yeay! To kill the boredom of being alone at home today.

Wee Hours

Hon is sleeping soundly on the bed behind me, while I'm here at the desk blogging away. I couldn't sleep yet. Coz I had a warm midnight bath. One that drowns all your thoughts and emotions and leave you bare naked inside, so that when you step out of the bath, you feel new-born like a baby. (Reminds me of the men vs women video that Hon posted on his Facebook, hehe!) One that you take your time to loofah and scrub and moisturize and condition every square inch of yourself. Aaah.. refreshing. And so the consequence, sleeplessness. I have popped my gastric flu pills too, and my stomach still feels queasy. Was on medical leave today for that. Dr Sunshine Dominic knows me well. hehe. Such a good doc he is (apart from the fact that he is indeed very generous with his signature on a certain certificate). Gonna spend the day doing my assignment later, and the late night with hubb and friends. Eyes drooping / Hair's drying / Head's spinnin' / Stomach's growling / Hon's stirring / Time for bed.

To live a full life, you cannot live it half dead.

Happy people think happy thoughts. I realised that I have achieved true happiness for these past 2 years with my husband. I realised that I don't need to make other people happy, I just need to focus on making myself happy, and naturally everybody around me will be happy. Re-examining my past 27 years of life, I think I have gone through quite a number of roadblocks. But they only made me stronger. =) As we age, there will be less and less opportunities in life. So it's time to grab that wheel and control it.

The secret to staying younger is living honestly, eating slowly and not thinking about your age (Lucille Ball). Honestly, sometimes, i have to do the math in the years to recap how old I am. Sometimes, i just forget. Is it 26? Is it 27 or 28? I asked myself. And in the end, Nehhh, it doesn't matter. Age is but a number. It's what's left of it that counts. So live everyday to the fullest!

To start off, HNSM celebrated our Birthdays in class with gift-exchanges. We drew lots and purchased presents for one another. We postponed our dinner celebration to next month due to certain circumstances. Hehe!

All these exchanges were done chop-chop before lesson starts. Haha! We were truly in our own world.

Next off, I took a Birthday Leave on my birthday itself and my mentor was kind enough to grant me a full day leave. Oh i stretched awake in the morning at 9am to the whispers of my sister creeping up in my room asking me what I wanted from MacD's. And fell back asleep again. When I woke up at 11am, my sis served me breakfast in bed. =) Nice piping hot sausage mcmuffin with egg and hashbrown. Yum. Thanks PhiQue! Hon had to work halfday on his OFF day, and the sacrifices he made for the company. Fuh! It's alright with me cos i get to meet him in town in the afternoon! I woke up and showered and got ready for a special Princess Day with my Dear Husband.



Off to town. Strolling and talking with hubby Zaini in search of the gift.


And in true SheZai style, we did not make any plans. Haha! Coz we let the day flow naturally.
We had lunch at Macdonald's just to get the purple glass! And while eating, we saw a one-legged pigeon. This is truly random. And after walking and walking, we finally discovered a spur-of-the-moment gift. I liked it the moment i set my eyes on it. After Hon purchased it for me, we decided to travel to Esplanade and have dinner at TE. I was craving for their soft shell crab.

After dinner, we headed on home. Hon got me this Agnes b red bag. It's our favourite colour: RED and black! He also got me the black chain for the bag separately. He insisted on it coz he said it beautifies the bag. I love it!




When we reached home, I showered and was just about to rest when Mom and sis knocked on the door to surprise me with Swensen's Sticky Chewy Chocolate Ice Cream Cake!!! There's always time for CAKE! hehe!

Thanks to all friends and family who have wished me on my Birthday!

When I returned back to work on Friday, I was taking over a class while waiting for their form teacher to arrive. So i took them to the music room for fun and fitness. We played games and danced around. It was fun. But then I had to hit my feet against the wall while dancing. Bimbo moment! Wham! I thought I cracked my toe. Jeez! I didn't feel anything since I was barefooted. But when I was on my way to school, my 4th toe swelled up. Duh! I was wearing covered Mary Janes! Sheesh! How silly of me! I started to limp and gave a heck to those who looked. Hah! I opened my shoe, looked down and saw it. It started to get painful. Hon was so nice to bring me to the doc. But the first thing he did when he saw me was LAUGHED AT ME! Evil! But that's my husband. Always like to tease me. =) I went to consult the doc. Well, the doc couldn't do anything. He stared at it. Then he said let it heal in 6 weeks. He gave painkillers and cream. And that 3 minutes cost $30. Thanks Doc.


Then he asked if i wanted to take an X-Ray just to be sure that it's not broken. So I went ahead and found out that Phew! Nothing's fractured. Just a bruise that will heal in time. I get to see the bones of my feet! I got amazed for a little while Ooooooh. Cool! Haha!

Tikus oh Tikus

I am always tickled by the way my in-laws (Mom, Aunt and Grandma in-law) always make up weird names for things. Like when the cat climbed onto my bolster to sleep on top of it, they akin it to riding a motorboat and of all places... to Batam. With their loud shrill voices calling the cat," Jeeeeen! Jeeeeen!(Short form for Ginger) Mana si Jeeeeeen tu eh?? Oh tengok Mak! Dia naik MotorrrrBot!! Nak gi Batam! OOoooooooiiiiiii... Jahat si Jeeeen ni eh!! Turun sini!" Haha! What wild imaginations. I love staying with my in-laws! So funny!

So it is no wonder that the below dish is called....... "Mee Tikus" a.k.a. 'Mouse/Rat Mee'. Any idea why? Haha! The noodle looks like the tail of a mouse/rat. Short and pointed at the end. Ok Ok, I know i may have ruined your appetite tonight, but trust me, the below noodle, cooked by M.I.L. is delicious! It is my favourite and I finished one whole kuali of it. *Burp*



P/S: The original real name of the noodle is "Mee Tai Mak". Pls do not pronounce it as Mee Taik Mak. That is even more gross.

Catching up with Adrena

I had a great time with my babe, Adrena. We had dinner at Pizza Hut and sat and eat and talked and girl-talked about a lot of things happening in our lives for almost 2 hours in the restaurant! We felt so full afterwards so.. we went.. shopping! As usual, I had so much fun going out with her. Hehe! She wanted to find a jacket and I wanted to find a pair of ear rings..... but instead we both got caught away and bought lingerie instead. Side-tracked a bit. Haha! Girls!!! What's new.


Weekend is here!!!! Yeay! Busy weekend though. But I get to spend both days with Darling Hubby! Double Yeay!!

I love my girlfriends.

It's nearing 6 months into my diploma programme and I am having a ball of a fun time amidst the assignments and group projects. I think the main reason should be the lovely bunch of friends around me who have been crazy, fun-loving and playful. We know how not to take things too seriously. Close ties have been made among us group members and lectures are never boring with them around. =) Coincidentally, all our birthdays are only weeks apart from each other. So we're gonna celebrate everyone's birthday with one huge bang in June!

Today is Ms Hui Eng's birthday. So.....

As for tomorrow, I have a dinner date with babe Ms. Adrena Lim. We're so gonna girl-talk! Looking forward to that!

I'm so happy nowadays. I even stayed back at work on a SATURDAY from 9am till 6pm to help set up some artwork learning corner at my centre and I have no complaints! I have 4 more assignments in queue too and they are all interesting. Love it! *I sound so deranged, pls excuse my kookiness!* Haha!

A huge weekend is coming up this week. With Haffiz & Effa's wedding to go to, Damia Amirah's Birthday Party and also SheZai's Sunday Night Agenda... Gonna be a busy week! Meanwhile... Stay healthy, People!

Greedy Shezai ..

While Hun celebrated Mama's Birthday + Mothers Day celebration yesterday noon together with Abah & Sis-In Law at Fig & Olive, I had to work. Not much of a choice though since I had my long weekend the week before. Anyways what I can look for instead was how to celebrate my mum's Mother's day. I ended my work around 2130 & asked Hun to meet me at my work. My plan was very simple since my mum work on Sunday. We went to Beach Rd & bought Makanan Babarians to celebrate yesterday. Yes! Tulang featuring all kind of Mee Gorengs. Haha. We had our meals together with the 3 Mums. My mum, Mik (the mums of my 7 cats) & My Grandma (the mothers of all). Maybe next year got another Mum? haha. It was great for the family & for hun, she got to celebrate Mother's day 2wice in a day with 2 different Mum! haha

Anyway, I best describe today as Foody Greedy Shezai Day! Yea, our ulterior motive today was to wake up late & just have brunch & probably head down to town for a movie or just slacking around the west in the late evening. So we decided to go for the latter. Scouting around the revamped West Coast Park & having Fillet-O-Fish at Mac was the choice made & heading to West Coast Plaza for some Java Chips at Starbucks was to be next BUT instead! *deng deng deng* Once we alight from bus 282, instead of crossing the road towards the park, we saw Sheng Siong & turned left instead. We agreed on looking for the Jelly Stick that we craved for at Jusco. Fine, we got what we wanted & it costs at $1 for a packet, hence we bought 2 packets. What happened next was terrible! We picked one thing after another & soon we realised that we can't hold anymore & we definitely need a basket! Haha I'll just let the picture explain on some of the things we bought that ended up from $2 to $40.









Not surprisingly, Shezai was too lazy to go to West Coast Park now & we decided to go straight to West Coast Plaza aiming for the Java Chips as planned but AGAIN! *deng deng deng* Chef Jr (Chef Bob) cooking series this morning was about pancake & Hun says that there's this place that sells superb pancakes + ice cream. Yes, we landed at Cottage Waffles very soon after that & skipped Starbucks. Again too, I'll let the picture explain.








Shezai is excellent at procastinating at all areas, from doing school projects to making such decisions like above stated. Haha Jialat big time right!
