Its All About Having Fun!

The event that we've been waiting for has finally arrived & done. Kanye did a superb showcase. I can only think of more positive words to describe his performances than negatives. Not only from us, but for most of my friends that went to his concert. It's my first time going to a concert. Be it how big or small the event is, it was worth the waiting & standing. Trust me when I mentioned waiting & standing cause the event was supposed to start at 8pm & usually would end like 10pm latest. So when we reached at 7pm, we met Corey first & had some light snacks before entering the queue. The door opened at 730pm & we quickly rushed in to get the best view. At first we're like the 5th row from the front but when the event starts, we're being squashed to the first 2 rows & that's like 4-5 metres away from Kanye! (Thanks for the push guys, haha) Anyway I've to admit also, for a first timer like Corey & myself, standing from 730pm - 9pm was no joke & that too was just waiting minus the show. So when the show starts from 9pm till about 11pm, it was all about the shouting, singing & dancing. As for me, other than those 3 acts mentioned, I've been busy snapping pics & recording video! haha We're not supposed to but hey how many times can you get to see him. I've got about 8 videos (songs) of him Live in my Mac now! haha Wouldn't upload it cos the sound was not so perfect but not the quality though. Can't blame me though cause it was quite hard to record with the pushing, singing & dancing around! It'll just be for Shezai eyes & memories for now, haha. After the concert ended, our knees were like super-jelly & our back aches like hell. It was a real first time experience for me especially but why should I complain right? He's one of my favorite artist & Hun surprised me with this special tickets! While we're having supper at McDonalds after that we're like discussing if only the next artistes that we'll most definitely go will be Justin Timberlake & Pharrell Williams! Hope our dream will come true, ahha. Once again, Thanks dear for the tickets!

Anyways, October was also a good month for my work! We've retain the Nike Art & Science Award! Quite unexpectedly but I must say that it's not easy. I've always told them that winning any award is easy but retaining or maintaining the standard will be a huge challenge but no one told them that it's not impossible & they proved it right! Congratulations again to us again guys! We deserved this & we'll get the goodies again soon!

Apart from the postitive side, I've also had to bid our goodbye to one of our Fillipino attachment student, Jonalyn. You've been a great help to the team & we really had fun working with you. Hope you learnt alot from us & also wish you all the best for the future & graduate from your school soon with flying colors! (We won't forget about you & will fly your Nike goodies soon yea)

Gearing up for our 4th Honeymoon Getaway

It has been a splendid close-to-1 year marriage and I am looking forward to more years to come. With Hon by my side, I know I can achieve anything, any adventures which we will explore together, any dreams and any goals in our lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Happy 7 Years 7 Months Honey!
Apart from our Kanye West Concert next week, we are gearing up for our next mini-Honeymoon!
Our 4th one at that. Getaway just for the both of us again. I'm excited all over again. Breaking away from the sedentary lifestyle is essential to us. Engaging in activities together with your loved one makes the relationship and connection stronger. Just how many of us adapt and accept the normal routine life every single boring day?

For the wife: Wake up, prepare breakfast, go work, stress up, reach home, cook dinner, eat, go online, watch TV, sleep.
For the hubby: Wake up, eat, go work, stress up, reach home, eat, go online, watch TV, sleep.
Repeat Mode: ON

Society has accepted this as the norm. We need to break away from this norm once in a while. Life is not all just about sludging your life away for money. (Money to pay debts/loans/retirement fund). Life is so much more than that and you live only once! Is your goal in life all about repaying bank/housing/reno loans which you have taken up to impress others? No! OK i sound like some hyperactive Aggie. Haha!
Basically the gist is.... Live life to the fullest!

I did some research on where to go for our Getaway and boiled down to a few choices. But whatever option/country we decide on, I hope Hon is game on for these!!!
White water r/afting and Sea W/alking!

OR

Lovin' the blog song. =)

On another note, Hon and I caught our all-time favourite SAW V yestermidnight and we can't get enough! We want to watch SAW VI immediately but know we have to wait for next year sadly. Oh damn. I find Jigsaw super-intriguing! This episode is a tad easier to understand but although it is R21 rated, there is NOT ENOUGH GORE!!!! We want more Gore!! Saw 3 and 4 i guess is bloodier and gorier than the 5th instalment. However, both me and Hon are still loving that gut-wrenching, blood-spewing, bone-crunching action. We just can't stop talking about the movie! It's just so mind-boggling! We are super huge fans!!! And I am going to buy all 6 movie posters of SAW and put it up in our future house. Hahaha! Oh and I asked Hon to set my ringtone to the SAW theme. Obsessed or what!

**Even more photos from Hari Raya**

It was a terrific day out where all of Hon's friends and their partners were present. We covered up to 10 houses in a day. Accomplished that and it was no rush nor hassle at all. Everything was quite relaxed and fun! I got home with a runny nose and Hon got an upset stomach. Guess it must be all those gassy drinks!

*More Photos from Hari Raya*

It's just the photo craze that's everywhere. I guess everybody thinks that the Malay traditional costume looks good on everybody! I had to bear with the 'gatal-ness' of this baju the whole day. Lace, sequins, the works.. uuaaarrkkhh! When the feeling creeps up on you and you feel like just shredding the whole baju off like hulk. The price of looking nice.

Me and HoneY!

Ok, I think I see more Hari Raya photos coming up again soon. You'll get bored, really.

Selamat Hari Raya to all our readers!

First of all, I'd like to thank Hon for dedicating the blog song to me. I melted listening to the lyrics, Dear. That is absolutely very sweet of you. *Pinch cheeks* =)

This year is the first year that we celebrated this special occasion as husband and wife. It feels fabulous! When I wanted to 'minta maaf' with Hon, I salam him and say out what I had in mind. Then I started laughing, then he started laughing.. Sooo kaku! Hahahah! After i say, "Hon, forgive me for all the sins and wrong I have done unto you. etc etc....", he said," Ala so far got nothing one lah, I very happy with you." hahaha! Hon, Hon.... *Hugggss* Sungguh aku cinta kamu!

In the 'modern room', a term coined by Phique. We only have 1 senget self-taken timer family photo in this room... We look like we are sliding down the carpet.. Weeeee.

We stumbled upon this purple van at our void deck. And no, it is not ours. We took a pic wit it just cause, it's matching our purple kampong theme. haha!

If people don't know us, they would've thought we are brother and sister, right?

Foolin' around in the car. Happy, elated, excited.

Mommy, Me & Phique.

Our cousins, me and Phique

We wanted to take more pictures with everybody, but they have all gone visiting their elders. Hope to have a chance next time they visit us.

Phique, Mira and Me. Do we look like sisters?

On another note, this Raya is the first time that I did not cry when i salam my Dad. Instead, i feel so happy and relieved that the 'acceptance stage' is now over and forever gone! Know why? Because me and my 'then-boyfriend-now-husband' is now legal and there will be no more Kanchiong meet-ups at the taxi stand!!! Wahaha!!! Those who know, know.

Instead, this year, I cried when i salam my mother-in-law. I really respect her from Day 1 I became her daughter-in-law. She marks the epitome of such a strong mother to Zaini, and now me. Loving and caring all the way without any double standards. I love both my moms.

And lastly, we would like to wish all our friends, relatives and blog-readers a Selamat Hari Raya. Forgive us if the words spewed from our humble blog have caused any discomfort or disdain. Have a happy one on this joyous occasion! -From SheZai

Royal Purple It Is ..

We managed to get our Baju Kurungs at last yesterday within 2 hrs at Geylang. We're kind of amazed how we can pull it off cos we tried it on past Sunday but couldn't so. Perhaps its the massive crowds that irritates us & also 'The Laws Of Attraction'. Yesterday crowds was so-so at first but it got quite busy as time went by. We did manage to try & try till we're satisfied & funny thing was, it's the first shop that both of us tried before that we ended up buying our Baju Kurungs.

Anyways, I'd like to dedicate this blog song to Hun.
(I don't normally listen to malay songs that often haha but you know why I chose this song ';P)

See what I mean Hun? The Makcik was damn right, ';D

Happy Monthvesary Hun!

Hun really surprised me with the pass to Kanye's concert & it will be my very first concert I'll ever attend to. Hun has always been a fan of going to concerts. In fact she ever went alone to a concert, of course that is before we knew each other. Once again I'd really love to thank you honey!

Anyways, Shezai's going to settle our Hari Raya 'thingy' by before this weekend, starting today. Since I'm on off for today & tomorrow, We'll be heading to Geylang after breaking our fast at Vivo later on to get our baju raya. We're not going to break fast at Geylang again as the food was So-So & the queue was bloody long. Simply not worth it. I'm not so good at choosing Baju Kurung & Hun has always tailored hers every year. Since this year our schedule are very tight, we're going to buy. I'm going for a very simple plain color which will be either green, royal purple or red. Hun will not get the exact color but a nice shade of my tone will be nice furthermore we've never worn same color before anyway. So good luck to us searching for the clothes cos we'll have to go through the 'Ketupat Sumbats', 'Muka Dengdengs' & the newly additions 'Super Young Mums/Parents' while in the bazaar/Katong/Joo Chiat.

T-shirt, short with slipper is what I'm going to wear. Wore jeans on Sunday & practically I can't stand the heat & I get irritated easily.

On the other hand, My mum has been busy making the kuihs/cakes with the help of my Aunt. She made kuih tart & macaroons for Hun's family while 2 versions of choc chips & biskut telur are specially for me! Yum Yum!

Ok then, laters!

Surprise Honey!!!

Dear Honey,

As simple as the words 'I Love You' i declare to you each and every single day, I have never regretted being on this boat of emotions with you, ever. We have been together for 7 years 5 months 19 days. Yes I am obsessed like that. 2 more months to our 1st year marriage anniversary and I want it to be a blast. I am grateful and blessed indeed that our relationship is rock solid, surprised by the fact that we never never at all had a volcanic argument to date. And for that I thank you.

I look forward to wake up every single day to hear your contagious laughter, listen to your sound advice, feel your warm hugs and look into your charming eyes. Each day is an exciting new day with you as I can never tell what zany ideas and delirious thoughts we always have in mind. Our love is like exploring a whole new world of endless possibilities. And for that I thank you.

I have always appreciated how you always work so hard for me, for our families, and I can see a bright future ahead of you. You have proven so many people wrong. In fact, WE have proven so many people wrong. =) I am proud of that. And for that I thank you. And I think you deserve this ......

Wonder how your 'Prince Day' is gonna be like next month?

Does This Look Like A Married Couple's Room To You?

Presenting....Our Room.
HeeHee!
I think we are 16 year olds stuck in near-30 year olds' bodies.
Better have all the lame-ass fun first before we are tied down with the REAL Married Couples' responsibilities... True?

Rainy Weather Food

This was a while back even before Ramadhan, but it was my first try at Macaroni chicken soup. It's a throw-throw kinda recipe so I anyhow throw the ingredients inside the dish also. Haha. Luckily it turned out well and the whole family enjoyed it until every drop. Just an idea if you wanna break your fast to this in the cold and rainy weather.

The ingredients:

All ready to enjoy. Healthy choice with potatoes, tomatoes and carrots... Since I love spice and hotness in my food, I made some chili padi to eat it with.

OK That's all!

SheZai completed our first 10KM Race!!

We reached the event spot around 4pm. It was kinda crowded as expected; congested with humans. Our Flag-off was at 4.45pm. Hon and me decided to race separately so it's each man his own. My mind shifted to endurance gear and I started pacing slowly and not care about the people around me. Hon ran way ahead of me already so i didn't mind running alone all by myself. But in fact I'm not alone coz i have another 'person' to beat; which is the inner me. Hahaha!

This was us before the race flag-off!

The running crowd

Success! I completed the total distance of 10km at a personal best of roughly 1hr 25mins even though i had my 1st day menses cramps handicap! Amazing!! Hon did his personal best too! But kudos to the best lady runner who completed the race at an amazing 40mins! The feeling of accomplishing that long distance is great!!! I felt a magnificent adrenaline rush through my whole body and soul at the finishing line. Yesss ah!!! Completed!!!!

Met up with Hon again after the race to enjoy the concert for a little while before heading home tired but happy.

Elated and accomplished!

Our next 10km race will be in December. Yupp! We've just registered and we're running another 10km for the Standard Chartered Marathon end year. Personal Training to start soon! Yeay!

I Love You Honey!

Gearing up for the Nike Human Race 10K !

We are more interested in the distance running than the concert.
Trying to complete the whole 10km race in 1 piece.
Let's have the greatest fun tomorrow!!!

SheZai's Collectibles Galore

I've started a new hobby. I am really crazy about movies so what more can you say about their posters, right? Me and Hubby have started collecting movie posters ever since we got married. It initially started off as an art addiction to articize our room, but it soon grew into a liking, or more so as an addiction, an ardent passion for these movie posters. This raging fire within me will always be burning to check out what's new at the movie memorabilia shop. I've visited their shop the 3rd time this week! We have 9 posters to date. 5 original double sided teasers and 4 commercial prints. I have even placed orders to be in the queueing list for the new 'Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen' poster which sellers have no idea what image it will be. But I've seen the image through the member's grapevine and I am assured that it will be good! So exciting! I am serious about collectin' movie posters just like how serious Hon is about his collection of 40 pairs of sneakers. Hee!

This is my precious latest acquisition at $140! US Original double sided Teaser B. After the death of Heath Ledger, movie makers are having this poster recalled (according to the market) and so there are only a few left which makes it even more valuable! =)

And of course, here we have the Dark Knight Batman poster, also in original double-sided. I am not going to open this poster and leave it in its mint condition in its tube. Rumour has it that The Dark Knight will overtake Titanic as the Number 1 blockbuster of all time. Therefore, this purchase. =)

Oh and of course, my most favourite movie poster also recently bought, is my Angelina Jolie's original 'Wanted' poster. It is so magnificent in black and white print, and there is no title on it too! It's so beautiful! I can't take my eyes off it! It will be SheZai's next bedroom theme. And black and white bedsheets to go along with it. Gonna hang it up tonight. OOoooOOO can't wait!

And other posters in my collection include.... some of which you may have seen hanging on our bedroom wall.
